Description

Bohemian Flat is an early-1980s New York artist's loft where a party clown named Klara prepares intergalactic voyages for her clients. The space is a mix of mystery and magic. The project began as an experiment: how easily can Marble from World Labs create a virtual set that keeps character positioning consistent across short-film shots?

The author tried several iterations in Marble, including on the paid plan, but liked the first one best, even though it happened to be labeled a "failed world." It still captures the spirit of the intended movie set better than any other. The loft is tall, airy and atmospheric, with several art-making stations, vintage stage lamps, 19th-century European art, Near Eastern arches, plants, wall chandeliers and other flourishes. Some parts of the world fade out early, which is part of the appeal: it reads as a liminal space between the world and what lies beyond.

Marble generated the virtual film set from a single image. The first result had gaps where the Gaussian splats were less accurate or detailed than they could be, so a Tripo model was imported into the world for greater fidelity when positioning characters and planning camera moves. The result is a web app that loads both assets and lets you position set dressing interactively. ComfyUI, ChatGPT, MiniMax H3 and SuperSplat were also part of the workflow.

It is a gift for everyone living on the edge who creates new art. A music video came first: its song was written in early September 2026, and the video was made in mid-September for a separate competition. What is new here is the virtual set workflow, which brings together the specialties of two AI companies, World Labs and Tripo.

How Tripo was used

A Tripo model brought precision to this Marble-built virtual set.

  • Positioning reference: the first Marble result, generated from a single image, had gaps where the Gaussian splats were less accurate or detailed, so a Tripo model was imported into the world for greater fidelity when positioning characters and planning camera moves.
  • Two-asset workflow: the final web app loads both the Marble world and the Tripo model and lets you position set dressing interactively.
