Rising to Orbit is a 3D mobile rocket progression game built around a simple dream: how far can you go? You start with a basic rocket and launch from Earth, climbing as high as you can while managing fuel, avoiding obstacles, collecting coins and surviving increasingly difficult conditions.
Every flight feeds your progress. Coins upgrade the rocket's engine power, health and other capabilities, and reaching new altitude milestones unlocks more advanced rockets. Each failed launch is meant to motivate the next one: as you improve the rocket and learn to control it, the journey stretches from the ground into the upper atmosphere and on to space.
It is a gift for everyone who has ever looked at the sky and wondered how far they could go, turning that feeling into a small interactive challenge about curiosity, persistence and reaching beyond your previous limits.
The game was made in Unity by a solo developer. It was an early playable prototype before the hackathon; during the event it was substantially expanded and polished with new 3D assets, multiple rocket tiers and progression, garage and upgrade systems, improved mobile controls, altitude progression, fuel and health systems, coins and airborne fuel pickups, obstacles and collisions, plus better environments, UI and HUD, audio, balancing and Android builds.
How Tripo was used
Tripo created the key 3D assets in Rising to Orbit, turning visual concepts into game-ready models for the Unity world. It let a solo developer prototype and iterate on 3D content quickly without a traditional modeling pipeline, getting from ideas to playable 3D elements much faster.
