EnsoulCamera

Description

EnsoulCamera is an Android app that turns anything you see, or anything you think of, into a little 3D spirit that is truly yours. You might know the feeling: as a kid you were sure the things around you had souls and wanted to talk to you. You imagined spirits full of stories living in a landscape, or a room, a beautiful pen or a cup that was a spirit itself. Now you can catch them with your phone and talk to them, and you become part of their story.

The spirit ball you choose decides the form they take: a cute spirit, an elegant fairy, a dopey little pet or a very cool superhero. From then on, each spirit lives in your phone, and the album is its home. You can visit it and poke it until it gets ticklish, or open its file and read its story. Put it back into the camera view and it gathers with the other spirits.

This is a gift for anyone willing to take a fantasy seriously. The little companion you wanted as a kid, the view you pass and want to keep: these used to stop at a photo. Now one shot turns it into a little spirit with a name and a temper that keeps you company. It stays on your phone, and it's still there the next time you open the app.

How Tripo was used

EnsoulCamera is driven by Tripo's model generation and character animation, using Tripo's image generation and image templates, model generation, and rigging and animation. What you capture goes through photo understanding and style translation, combines with the spirit-ball mechanic, and becomes a 3D spirit with its own look, materials and sense of story, ready to be rigged, animated and shown.
