Scientific Faith

Description

Scientific Faith is a futuristic spiritual sculpture that redefines humanity's modern spiritual totem, with science as its new spiritual pillar. It builds a pure, rational, upward-looking spiritual world, free from old superstitions and rigid dogma. Unlike classical religious art, which depicts passive salvation and fixed fate, this world centers on scientific understanding, rational inquiry and human transcendence. Humanity sets aside illusory consolation and takes science as its lasting spiritual pillar; exploration becomes life's own meaning, and breakthrough the constant driving force of civilization. This open, evolving realm belongs to rational minds who dare to question, create and push the boundaries of knowledge.

The sculpture aims for a strong sense of upward momentum and transcendence. Its core motif is humanity embracing science, deliberately moving away from the static aesthetics of traditional sculpture: the figure rises in a dynamic pose, limbs stretched and torso lifted, capturing the moment of breaking chains and reaching toward the unknown cosmos.

This spiritual gift is dedicated to brave souls throughout history: people rooted in the present, facing the unknown future and devoted to the pursuit of truth. It honors explorers, researchers, practitioners and ordinary seekers who reject outdated limits and understand the world through scientific reason. It is not reserved for celebrated scholars; it belongs to everyone who embraces scientific thinking and believes in the power of knowledge, people who explore uncharted territory, pass wisdom between generations and quietly move civilization forward.

The piece began as a sketch. The author generated the figure's pose in Jimeng, worked out details and form in Figma, generated the model with Tripo image-to-3D, and finally refined the model, added detail parts and rendered the images in Blender.

How Tripo was used

Tripo was the core production tool in the sculpture's workflow.

  • Model generation: once the pose and form were worked out in Jimeng and Figma, the sculpture was generated with Tripo image-to-3D at the highest quality setting.
  • Refinement: the author then refined details, added parts and rendered the images in Blender. According to the author, generating with Tripo saved a great deal of modeling time and effort, and the models came out at very high quality.
