Description

Many people have imagined the day a zombie outbreak hits: doing whatever it takes to survive, yet rarely picturing how it all ends. Skipping Work for the Apocalypse lets you watch the consequences of every choice play out.

The game has four highlights:

  • Random fate events: roll the dice of destiny to decide whether today brings a living hell or a moment of respite.
  • Autonomous AI actions: when heading out for supplies, will you play it safe, search and get out, or go all in on a fight? Set your stat allocation, then let the AI act on its own.
  • Camp building: use materials to build an impenetrable fortress, and beware of zombie raids at midnight.
  • Dynamic difficulty: the infected keep growing in number and mutating, so your choices have to keep adapting. Stay holed up at home and the outside world grows ever more hostile, sending the difficulty of expeditions soaring.

How it ends is up to your choices. You might die in an accident while scavenging or run out of resources; you might fight desperately to stay alive, become a legend, or develop a cure that saves the world. The game is a gift for zombie-loving players: face the emergencies of the apocalypse together with the AI, do what you have to do, bring a little luck, and stay alive.
