Description
Capy Post turns "I was thinking of you" into a tiny 3D world. Tell it who a gift is for and three things they love, and a crew of capybaras builds a floating hot-spring island around them, wraps it and gives you a link. It is a gifting app where the gift is a world, made for anyone you miss.
The sender picks a world, chooses three things the recipient loves (from a shelf of Tripo-made models, or typed in freely) and writes a letter. Anything typed is sculpted live while worker capybaras haul crates, so the wait becomes part of the gift.
The recipient gets a link that opens on a wrapped present. Tapping it runs the unwrap: the bow spins off, the lid flies, the walls fold open like petals, and a floating island grows out of the box. The gifts pop onto pedestals, a host capybara greets them, and the letter types itself out. They can wander the island, poke the capybaras soaking in the onsen, tap gifts to read the sender's notes, and send one back.
Every capybara and gift was generated with Tripo. The project was built from scratch during the hackathon: all code, models and audio were made in two days.
How Tripo was used
Tripo is the core engine of Capy Post: all character and gift models, auto-rigging, animation retargeting and the live text-to-3D in the app come from the Tripo API.
- Capybaras and gifts: every one is Tripo text-to-3D from one shared style prompt.
- Live generation: anything a sender types is generated in the app on the spot while worker capybaras haul crates, so the wait becomes part of the gift.
- Rigging and animation: a chain of rig check, auto-rigging and retargeting gives a capybara and a cat quadruped walk cycles and the host a 5-preset biped performance. The rig check read the plush capybara as a biped, so it became the host.
- The GLBs stream through the project's own API, so gift links keep working.
