Description

Moonlit Halloween Dance Studio is an interactive 3D world where three Halloween characters perform together on an enchanted stage beneath the moon. It is a gift for anyone who dreams of making a dance MV, even without any animation experience.

Upload your music, arrange synchronized dances from a set of 30, customize the choreography and durations or follow music-based sequence suggestions, then set up five customizable cameras and record the performance directly in the browser. A favorite song becomes a small story of your own. The studio comes in Japanese and English.

Behind it is a full production pipeline. The author turned their original 2D Halloween characters into three reusable 3D performers with Tripo, then refined scale, placement, materials and lighting in Blender and built the stage there. Adobe Mixamo provided the rigging and the 30 dance animations, and the browser-based previs studio was built on Three.js with help from Codex. TapNow was used to create the music and the final MV.

Before the event, only the original 2D character artwork existed. The stage reference image, 3D models, Blender scene, web app, dance system and the integrated production workflow were all created during the hackathon.

How Tripo was used

Tripo turned the author's original 2D Halloween characters into three reusable 3D performers, the foundation of the whole project.

  • The author refined them in Blender, applied Mixamo animations, and used Codex to build a browser-based previs studio with 30 synchronized dances, music-based sequencing and five customizable cameras.
  • The workflow continues into TapNow for the final MV, making Tripo the bridge from character art to an interactive production system.
