Description

Yunque Celestial Sect is a desktop WebGL exploration game set in an Eastern-fantasy sect floating above a sea of clouds. Walk from the mountain gate up the long stairway to the main hall, cross karst pillars and floating isles, and look for spirit lights, steles and overlooks. Summon a sword to fly between the peaks, then board the passing Kun while it glides in level flight.

The world is built around scale and reachable distance. Switch between two characters who can walk, jump, fly on a sword and be rescued from a fall. A day-night cycle and five weather states (clear, mist, rain, snow and thunderstorm) reshape the light on the cloud sea, cliffs and architecture. The world includes the main hall, the gate, six side towers, 36 karst pillars, floating islands, guardian statues, a mountain-sized sword, a rotating armillary sphere and chain-bound isles.

There is no combat or quest pressure: climb, watch the clouds, listen to the bell and read inscriptions at your own pace, collect 66 spirit lights, and capture the journey in photo mode.

This complete, playable prototype runs directly in a browser and was made by a solo developer. React, Three.js and React Three Fiber drive the real-time world. Tripo was used to create the Kun, the guardian statues, the mountain sword and selected props; the terrain, vegetation, cloud sea, weather, controls, collisions, interactions, saving and photo systems are procedural. It is a gift to anyone who still looks up: a quiet place to slow down before something enormous and walk toward the far horizon.

How Tripo was used

Working solo, the author used Tripo for the world's key visual anchors.

  • What was generated: the Kun, the guardian statues, the giant sword and selected props.
  • Integration: brought into Blender and Three.js with animation, materials, LOD optimization, scale normalization and colliders.
  • Role in the game: the Kun became a moving, playable space where players board its back, walk, jump, collect spirit lights and trigger responses in the clouds. Combined with procedural terrain, weather, vegetation and lighting, the Tripo assets form a world you can travel through, not a static showcase.
