A Gift for Player One is a 2.5D pixel runner that takes you from elementary school all the way to college graduation, in a blend of Chinese absurdism and magical realism, running through exams, rules and growing up.
On the way, leap over the numbers that keep popping up on answer sheets, collect daily check-in medals and push through textbook pages that never seem to end. When you get hungry, dash to the cafeteria supply station; when your mind wanders, watch out for chalk thrown by the math teacher; and ideally, burst into the classroom a second before the bell.
Pass your exams, move up a grade, become a qualified character and run all the way to graduation... Is the game over? No. PLAYER ONE CONNECTED. Good luck, protagonist.
The author made it as a gift for Player One. The game was built in Unity, with Tripo handling the core art; Blender, Procreate, Midjourney, TapNow, Codex, Suno and GarageBand were also used in development. It is available for Windows.
