Try it live Description
Before It Melts is the story of Ari, a boy who just wants to spend time with his dad, and the author's gift to a busy father. While making it, the author imagined being Ari, whose name comes from the author's own. The author's dad is often busy with work, and he really loves ice cream. One Sunday the author asked him to spend some time together, but he had work to finish. So the author went out, bought some ice cream, brought it home, and they ate it together. That small moment stayed with the author.
The game recreates that memory: Ari comes to realize that sometimes a simple gift can create the moment you were hoping for. The world is inspired by that day and is meant to feel warm, personal, playful and a little emotional. In the author's words, it is not really about delivering ice cream; it is about finding a small way to connect with someone you love.
Built in Unity, the game runs in the browser. You play Ari on his scooter, in scenes that include city streets, a forest, a village and a destination town, picking up collectibles such as ice cream cones, nitro boosts and sticks and running into skeleton and ghoul enemies. The story closes with an ending cutscene generated with PixVerse and Seedance, set to music generated with MiniMax. Much of the city, forest and village scenery and the enemies come from ready-made third-party asset packs.
How Tripo was used
Tripo supplies the collectibles in this asset-to-game workflow.
- What it made: the ice cream cone, nitro boost and stick collectibles.
- How it was used: the FBX outputs were imported into Unity and given materials, collision and gameplay logic. Together with Unity scripting and Quibli rendering, this moved the generated objects beyond static previews and into real gameplay mechanics.
