Description

Myths' Valley is a third-person 3D life-sim adventure set in 1887 in Bom Jesus dos Pobres, a fishing village in Bahia's Recôncavo, Brazil, one year before slavery was abolished. The team uses the genre to celebrate local culture through contemplative play. It is a gift for Pedro Nolasco da Encarnação, the author's great-great-grandfather, bringing family memory to life in a village shaped by its people, landscape and stories.

Pedro welcomes the traveler at the pier, walks alongside you and guides your arrival. Meet villagers, follow their quests, gather resources, fish, cook, and discover folklore-inspired cards and cordel stories, a Brazilian folk poetry tradition. A day-and-night cycle, changing tides, villagers' routines and the sounds of the forest and coast give the place a rhythm of its own. The landscape draws on the real geography of Bom Jesus dos Pobres, reinterpreted as a playable world.

The wider story connects ancestry, Afro-Brazilian resilience and folklore, including Pedro's encounter with Matinta Pereira; that campaign is still in development. This demo offers the village and its current activities: a gift of living memory that invites players to spend time in a place an ancestor once called home. It is a Windows prototype, with text in Portuguese, English and Spanish (some translations still in progress) and AI-generated Portuguese voices.

Tripo supplies the characters, houses, trees and props, through a pipeline of 3D generation, Smart Mesh quad retopology and GLB export, with auto-rigging and animation for Pedro and the other villagers. Godot and GDScript assemble the landscape and wire up movement, interactions and game systems. Music, sound effects and Brazilian Portuguese voices were generated with ElevenLabs; the logo, painted backgrounds and ornamental UI with OpenAI image generation. Myths' Valley is a narrative spin-off of Batalha de Mitos, an existing Brazilian folklore story world: only the setting is inherited, and the playable game and its assets were made during the event.

How Tripo was used

Tripo drives the whole 3D asset pipeline: reference images and prompts become the houses, boats, native plants, props and villagers of Bahia.

  • Features used: HD generation, Smart Mesh retopology, textured GLB export, and humanoid rigging and animation for Pedro and the other villagers.
  • Into Godot: a reproducible batch workflow feeds the models into Godot, where the team tunes scale, collisions, LOD and gameplay.
  • In the game: the models form a village you can walk around, and carry its interactions, dialogue and quests.
